How to prepare Chekkalu Rice Flour Snack Recipe

Ingredients to make Rice Crackers Snack Recipe:

Rice – 1 kg
Maida/ All purpose flour – 150 grams
Green chilies – 6-7
Ginger – ½ inch
Salt as required
Moong Dal – ½ cup
Curry leaves – few
Oil as required

Chekkalu Rice Flour Snack Recipe preparation method:

1. Soak Moong Dal in water for at least 30 minutes. Then, strain water from moong dal and keep it aside.

2. Soak rice in a water for at least 4 hours. Then, strain water from the rice. When the rice is wet, blend it in a blender like a fine powder. Sieve fine powder from it. Keep it aside.

3. Take a mixer jar, add green chilies, ginger and required salt. Blend it well to a paste. Keep it aside.

4. Take a mixing bowl add wet rice flour powder, green chili paste, soaked moong dal, finely chopped curry leaves, 3-4 tablespoons of Luke warm oil and required salt. Mix it well. Then, add required water to prepare the dough. It must be like vada mix.

5. Take a wet cotton cloth. Take small balls of dough and press with the fingers in a round shape like shown below.

6. Meanwhile heat oil for deep fry. When oil heated, take each one from cloth and fry it until it changed to golden brown. Do it until all finished.

7. Take them out from the oil and place them on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

8. Now the easy and delicious Rice Crakers Snack Recipe is ready to serve. Serve them as evening snack recipe.

9. When they become cool, store them in an airtight container. They will be stored for at least 1 month.
