Lemon Pickle Recipe Indian is delicious pickle recipe from South Indian. It is also called as Lime Pickle, Nimbu Ka Achar, Lemon Achar Recipe etc. It is made with lemons. They are different methods to prepare Lemon Pickle. This is South Indian Style procedure.

How to prepare Lemon Pickle Recipe Indian | Lime Pickle | Nimbu Ka Achar

Ingredients to make Nimbu Ka Achar:

Lemons – 10
Sea Salt – ½ cup
Red chili powder – 1 cup
Methi Powder/Fenugreek seeds powder – 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds – ½ tablespoon
Cumin Seeds – ½ tablespoon
Curry leaves – few
Oil as required

Lemon Pickle Recipe Indian | Lime Pickle | Nimbu Ka Achar preparation method:

1. Wash lemons and wipe them with a cloth. Cut them into cubes.

2. Take a mixing bowl; add chopped lemon pieces and 1 cup sea crystal salt. Mix them well. Close the lid and keep it aside for 3 days. Stir it on every day to mix salt and lemon.

3. On the 3rd day, squeeze salt water from lemon pieces and dry lemon pieces in sunlight for 6-7 hours. Store salt water aside.

4. Then, again mix dried lemon pieces to salt water. Mix them well. Now add required red chili powder, 1 tablespoon fenugreek powder. Mix them all well. Keep it aside.

5. Heat a pan with ½ cup oil. When oil heated, add a pinch of hing, ½ tablespoon mustard seeds, and ½ tablespoon cumin seeds and few curry leaves. Add this tadka to the prepared lemon pickle. Mix it well.

6. Now the delicious and traditional lemon pickle is ready to serve. Store it an air tight container.

7. Serve this hot cooked rice or curd rice.

Tips and tricks to make Lemon Pickle Recipe Indian | Lime Pickle | Nimbu Ka Achar:

1. Some people have a habit of adding mustard seeds powder to pickle recipes. You can also add 3-4 tablespoons of mustard seeds powder to it.

2. You can also add 2 tablespoons of sugar to reduce sour taste of lemon pickle.
