How to make Oats Khichdi Recipe

Ingredients to make Oast Kichidi Recipe:

Oats – 1 cup
Moong dal – ½ cup
Green chilies – 3-4
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger – ½ inch (finely chopped)
Carrot – ¼ cup (chopped pieces)
Beans – ¼ cup (chopped pieces)
Green peas – ¼ cup (chopped pieces)
Turmeric powder – ¼ tablespoon
Salt as required
Curry leaves – few
Coriander leaves – few
Oil as required

Oats Khichdi Recipe preparation method:

1. Take a cooking bowl; add ½ cup moong dal and 2 cups of water. Cook it for 4-5 minutes. Half cook is enough. Switch off the flame and keep it aside. Don’t strain water from it.

2. Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil. When oil heated, add finely chopped ginger pieces, onions, green chilies, ¼ tablespoon turmeric powder and curry leaves.

3. Then, add chopped carrot, beans, and green peas. Fry it for 1-2 minutes.

4. Now add 2 cups of water and required salt.

5. When water is boiling, add 1 cup oats and half cooked moong dal with water. Stir it well and cook it on a low flame.

6. When oats cooked well, switch off the flame and add finely chopped coriander leaves.

7. Take it into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves

8. Now the hot and healthy Oats Khichdi Recipe is ready to serve.

Tips and tricks to make Oats Khichdi Recipe:

1. Oats cook very quickly, so it is better to half cook vegetables before only.
