How to make Oats Tikki Recipe | Oats Moong Dal Vada

Ingredients to make Oats Tikki Recipe:

Oats – ½ cup
Yellow split moong dal – ½ cup
Onion – 1
Curd/yogurt – 1 tablespoon
Red chili powder – 1 tablespoon
Salt as required
Coriander leaves – few (optional)
Curry leaves – few (optional)
Oil for deep fry

Oats Tikki Recipe | Oats Moong Dal Vada preparation method:

1. Soak moong dal for at least 15 minutes. Then, half cook moong dal. Strain water from it and keep it aside.

2. Fry oats in an empty pan for 4-5 minutes. Then, take them out from the pan and wait until they become cool. Make it as a fine powder and keep it aside.

3. Take a mixing bowl, add oats powder, finely chopped onions, coriander leaves, ½ tablespoon red chili powder, half cooked moong dal, 1-2 tablespoons of curd and required salt. Mix them all well.

4. Take a ball size mixture and press it like vada. Make all vada’s like that.

5. Meanwhile, heat oil for deep fry. When oil heated, fry vada’s in oil until they changed to golden brown color.

6. Take them out from oil and place them on tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

7. Now the delicious and healthy Oats Tikki Recipe is ready to serve.

8. Serve them with ginger chutney or tomato ketchup.

Tips and tricks to make Oats Tikki Recipe | Oats Moong Dal Vada:

1. You can also add finely chopped curry leaves to the recipe.

2. You can shallow fry vada’s using less oil also well.
